Many countries do not provide access to medically assisted treatment with donor sperm. This may be because treatment with donor sperm in the country in question is prohibited by law.
Single women or same sex couples may not be allowed treatment. Additionally, there may be requirements concerning specific tests or special documents or a ban against treatment using Anonymous donors, or against treatment using Non-Anonymous donors or other bans and requirements.
As far as Cryos is aware, such legislation only applies to treatment by doctors and other healthcare professionals. In other words, home insemination is not covered by any of the above legislative restrictions and must therefore be deemed legal.
Do you Ship Donor Sperm Worldwide to Private Customers for Home Insemination?
Yes. Cryos can ship tested and screened donor sperm to private customers with a view to home insemination, irrespective of their marital status or sexual orientation.
We always recommend that you are under the care of a physician or a clinic. There are so many factors that can affect the outcome of artificial insemination; for example medical examination, diagnosis, scanning, timing, hormonal stimulation or other types of medication. A doctor or clinic will normally be able to provide far more effective treatment, which often results in a three to four times higher pregnancy success rate per cycle. Treatment may include intrauterine insemination (insemination directly into the uterine cavity with purified sperm cells) or IVF (In Vitro Fertilization), which can only be performed by a doctor or clinic.
Donor sperm is of the same quality and Standard as that supplied to doctors and fertility clinics.
Which Sperm Donors can be Ordered for Home Insemination?
