Donor Egg Blastocyst Guarantee

We understand that for intended parents, donor egg treatment is expensive, and having the reassurance that our frozen donor eggs will fertilize and develop into an embryo provides a higher level of confidence and security.

Patients of Cryos Reference Clinics, or clinics who have been trained in Cryos’ warming procedure will qualify for our Donor Egg Quality One Blastocyst Guarantee.

When a minimum of six (6) oocytes have been delivered to your clinic, Cryos guarantees at least one (1) blastocyst* or a pregnancy from embryos that have not reached the blastocyst stage. If this guarantee is not met, the six (6) oocytes will be replaced one time free of charge. Should the culture result in no blastocyst, but viable embryos less than the blastocyst stage are available, a transfer must take place for the guarantee to be in effect.

If a cycle does not result in one blastocyst or pregnancy, and the particular donor does not have another full cohort of oocytes available, the client will be offered the choice of either; all remaining eggs from the selected donor, or, a cohort from a different donor of their choice.

Alternatively, Cryos now offers clinics the option of our Donor Egg Quality Two Embryo Guarantee for your patients. Only you know your team, their experience, and of course their availability. Therefore, in order to achieve the highest success rates possible, you can offer your patients the option of selecting a Cryos donor and you ship the patients frozen sperm to our Lab. We will use the sperm to create embryos from the selected Cryos egg donor, vitrify the embryos and ship them to you for thaw and transfer, guaranteeing 2 blastocyst stage vitrified embryos. In the case where a cycle does not result in two blastocyst, and the chosen donor does not have another cohort of six (6) oocytes available, the client will be offered the choice of 1) all remaining eggs from the selected donor, or 2) a cohort from a different donor of their choice.

To qualify for this guarantee program the following criteria are required:

  • Fertilization performed at Cryos’ laboratory by a Cryos sperm donor, or by partner’s sperm frozen at the client’s clinic and shipped to Cryos.
  • Semen parameters (on the day of sperm freeze) require > 2 million total motile sperm with a morphology of 1% or higher (Kruger strict criteria). Sperm will be checked again at the time of egg warming/sperm thaw (prior to ICSI) to verify that it meets the required criteria.
  • No surgical procedures that require MESA, TESE or TESA.
  • A normal uterine cavity

Please note: Genetic testing PGD or CGH on embryos disqualifies the guarantee

* A blastocyst is an embryo that has developed beyond the morula stage to include an inner cavity and two distinct cell types, trophoblast and an inner cell mass.
